Technical Support for Online Learning

 

Those research scholars who are not familiar with online learning may require our Technical Support Services. A virtual classroom may sound very much like a physical classroom but in reality it involves digital technology and requires technical know-how of that technology. In order for the students to remain present in this virtual classroom, they need to be connected to it through a leased line or a broadband internet connection. Therefore technology play a major role for virtual classroom to work incessantly.

 

On admission, scholars may apply for it so that our support division will take them through our technical orientation program that will include:

 

  • Tutorials on learning in online environment
  • Tutorials on how to access e-Library
  • Tutorials on taking online help services
  • Tutorials on accessing online material and lectures

 

Requirement of Online Learning

 

Digital technology is changing so fast today that by the time a new technology sets its foot in the industry, its new versions hit the market. With ever innovative newer applications being developed not by months or weeks but by days, the minimum requirement of digital environment changes even faster. Keeping all this in mind, we recommend our scholars to have the following minimum digital tools in their virtual home classroom but not limiting to it. In fact, we recommend them to keep in touch with our technical support department to get an insight of what’s going on on the technology front and how they ought to replace their tools:

 

  • A PC or a Laptop with 2 GHz or higher dual core CPU, a minimum of 4 GB high speed RAM, a video card with minimum 64 MB of VRAM, 100 GB of Hard-disk, screen resolution of 1024X 768 or higher and a DVD R/W drive
  • Multimedia with good set of speakers or headphone s and mike
  • A webcam with a minimum resolution of 640X 480
  • A laser or inkjet printer
  • A pen drive, or external hard-disk or any other movable storage device
  • Internet broad band with good connecting & downloading speed
  • Windows latest version with MS Office
  • Latest version of Internet browser
  • Adobe Reader/ Adobe Flash Player/ Windows Media Player etc.
  • An effective antivirus software of latest version
